Joseph graduated from BYU with a Bachelor’s Degree in International Studies and a 3.8 GPA. Joseph also attended BYU’s J. Reuben Clark School of Law where he graduated in the top third of his class.

While attending law school, Joseph externed for the Chief Justice of the Utah Supreme Court, the Office of General Counsel for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and the Utah Attorney General’s Office. He also served as a Senior Editor for BYU’s Education Law Journal, co-authored multiple chapters for a student law-religion manual, and helped plan and orchestrate annual international law and religion symposia.

From 2005-2015, Joseph practiced law in Las Vegas as a civil litigator before joining BMO Law Firm in July 2015. Since 2015, his primary areas of practice include estate planning, estate administration, business law, and real estate law.

On a typical day, Joseph may be drafting a revocable trust, an irrevocable trust, a will, a stock purchase agreement, an asset purchase agreement, a non-compete or on-disclosure agreement, a lease or lease option agreement, employment/independent contractor agreements, a subcontractor agreement, a real estate purchase contract, loan documents, an estate distribution agreement, power of attorney documents, a management agreement, a settlement/release agreement, deeds, assignments, gifting agreements, business formation documents, etc.

Joseph is skilled in litigation and conflict resolution, but, at BMO Law Firm, he focuses most of his attention on careful drafting of legal papers so as to minimize the risk of future conflict/dispute.
